I was shopping at Trader Joes and a young twenty something store employee stopped me, "Mam", she said, (Mam?? is she really talking to me? mam??) "where did you get your cardigan?" (now that's more like it) "LOFT" I answer. And she stares blankly--"you know, Ann Taylor's LOFT?" Still blank. So I instruct her where to find a store, and move along. So I have found my niche-my choice of caridigan color-still cool, my choice of store to purchase it at--only cool to those of us "Mams".

Red's Artistic Talent
I pulled this paper out of Red's Kindergarten folder today.
My reaction:
WHAT??????????????
ME: Red did you show this to your teacher?
Red: Yes
ME: (Horrified but laughing) I love it.
Red: Yes it's a . . . . .
What do you think it is? I didn't see it at first--I only saw the top half and was a bit shocked (my children have a weird fascination with boobs. We have many a boob story)
What do you think Red said it was?

First, love the song.
Second, I have NO IDEA what it is...
All I see are boobies.
me too! dying to know! when are you revealing the answer? too funny! i used to draw in a cleavage crack back in 1st grade. and it was cleavage.
It's a mermaid!! The other day E said she didn't want to wear a shirt to preschool. She said she would just wear her boobs. That was the first time she said boobs. It was really funny to hear it come out of a 4 year olds mouth.
A giant squid, eating a blue haired woman. You may want to talk with her about using some other colors for a more realistic look :)
No idea--but the boobs are HILARIOUS! I can't wait to hear what it is! :)
Is it cookie Monster giving Red a piggy back ride?
ok i am now officially with jenni c. totally mermaid. and now i see it. is that really what it is?
Jenni wins!!! It's a mermaid. I said Phew--now I don't have to explain anything to the teacher.
I nearly fell out of my chair laughing. No idea why that caught me so off guard but *deep breath* maybe I just needed a GOOD laugh!! Anyway *wipes away the tears* that is just classic.
It's a mermaid.
