Grommet

Ok, Hy and I just made a trip to IKEA, spent more money than we should, but I'm excited about it. Because I have 4 different fabrics to make curtains. I want to make curtains with Grommets at the top like the one above. I've never done it. I need some help.

Where do I get big Grommets, how do I apply them? And any tips.

Any info would be greatly greatly appreciated!

but in the back of the fabric section, by the upholstery, there are 'notions' for doing grommets. you have to buy a grommet tool. it's a big punch thing, that smooshes it. not sure how expensive they are.

try mesa sales. and see if the stuff is cheaper there.

There is a super easy way that you don't need the tool. There is a kit at Joanne Fabric and you cut a hole in the fabric then the grommet just pops in. They aren't real metal but it looks fine on the curtain. If you want more info call me.

this is way way late, but i'm way way behind on the blog-times.

i got big ole grommets at ikea a couple years ago, super cheap and super easy. don't buy the tool, you can do it without it. just make the cuts and snap them together. easy peasy.
