What happens when . . .

you are so busy getting ready for a yard sale that you let your kids watch The Smurf's Season 1 repeatedly.

HOLY CRAPOLA!

YARD SALE

Seriously. Tons and tons of C-R-A-P. If any of you know me and want to come by the yard sale is Friday morning and Saturday morning. But I will be around all day today (Wednesday) , so if you want to swing by and look at the crap--be my guest. I have tons and tons and tons of kid clothes. Mostly under 5T. But everything is 50 cents. I juts want to get rid of it.

If you don't know me and you want to come by, then e-mail me:

iboughtsomething@gmail.com

and I'll tell you how to get to my house. MAYBE. It depends on if you seem legit or crazy. Also, if you know me because you know one of my friends--then they can tell you where I live, or you can come with them. It sucks that we have to be careful about those kinds of things. I also have some IKEA home stuff and a weird Hershey's Kiss Halloween costume my sister sent down.

They heart their bro

The Beckster just get's used as a toy. They actually try to entertain him, but he's too little to know that he's being entertained. At least they make him comfortable.

Here they planned on tying a rope around themselves and pulling him in the basket

Why . . .

4 year olds shouldn't have glasses

it's great to have friends who never do anything so they can pick up within a moments notice and go hiking with you

Lenor rocks--she's super pregnant and hiked up to the cave at Papago. She's superwoman

making your kids throw their hands up makes for a better picture

Fun on a Budget

We don't spend a lot of money on entertainment around our house remember this post?
Well our family is full of fun and free ideas.

This is a two for one--chore and fun.

I catch this girl doing this all the time.

And Early Valentine

I got the idea for this project from something I saw on Decor8 months ago. Anytime I have some sort of artsy idea I coax my talented friend Molly into helping me. So we did this for two days. I was going to give it to Hy on Saturday, but he saw the back of it in the Suburban (I thought he wouldn't be in the suburban for a few days). So I took it and set it up and showed it to him. He liked it. He'd better.

Instructions--if you want to copy.

Supplies:

1 gallery wrapped (no visible staples) canvas -mine was 24x36
White Gesso
Black paint or Gesso
Paint brushes
Textured Scrapbook Paper
Computer with cool fonts
2 embroidery floss units (I have no idea what it would be called---thus the word "units")
Crafty friend named Molly

Cover your canvas entirely in White Gesso. Then start to tint the Gesso and go back and forth with smooth even strokes. Have your friend Molly do a lot of it because she is good at smooth and even strokes. Let dry. Keep 2 year olds away from it so you don't have to go back and repaint over their fun little paint brush splashes. Sit at friend's computer picking out a million fonts and not deciding really on any of them. Take a week off. Come back. Decide on font. Print onto paper. Make sure to leave spaces in between letters. Cut into squares. To make sure they are not perfectly symmetrical, have your more artistic brained friend do because if not it will make your linear brain hurt and your palms sweat. Cut embroidery floss to desired lengths. Tape one end to back of cut out letters. Tape the other at the top to hold it in place, then glue the other end onto back of canvas. Hang on bedroom wall as symbol of everlasting devotion.

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

The Kizz sleeps anywhere. During the day I'll wonder where she is and I'll go to find her and she's asleep SOMEWHERE. She gets that from my side of the family. We love to nap.

Knees bent under on the carpet

At the lake

Covers her head with her wooby in her car seat

On the laundry room tile floor in front of the dryer

In Beck's Bumbo

Standing up on the couch

Lawn chair

With Josie "having her ear" (which is highly irritating)

And a video

I also have one of her all nakey sitting on a stool with her head asleep on a table, but I thought--maybe I don't want that out there

I knew it!

I did a design style test at IKEA .com and it turned out that I am:

"Scandinavian Original"

80% Scandinavian

20% Modern

0% Country

I always described my design style as Sedish-sh because I had not term for it. But apparently "Scandinavian" is an option.

Take the test HERE and post a comment telling me what you are.

It is a little bit skewed because you can only choose from IKEA offerings. But it's fun!

So that explains it

Last night the girls were in the bath and I was listening to them from the office.

Annabelle: "Don't drink the water--I just peed in it"

So I gagged and ran and asked Annabelle if she peed--and she said "you heard that?" And I asked her again and she slowly shook her head no. Then I said "Do you promise?" (this kid can't lie for her life) and she said "I don't like to promise". So then I was on fire and slightly gagging. Yanking them out of the bathtub and trying to rinse them off with water from the faucet. I told her I was taking her points and she needed to go to bed NOW!

The bathtub smelled a bit like pee the other day and I COULD NOT figure out why. Now I can. G-R-O-S-S. I expect that from Beck (he pees every time) but not my oldest girl. YUCK. She's banned from baths. At least until I calm my gag reflex.

P.S. Beck is feeling better--thanks for all the help Dr. Moms

I think that's enough for today

Return Phone Call

Dear Dr. Moms

Ok--he's been on breathing treatment and meds. He still has some yuck going on--flemmy spit up and such. And then his breathing sounds good, and then it sounds bad. Sometime I think it sounds crackly--which Crazymama said was bad. But I can't tell if it's crackly or flemy. And I can't tell if it's in his lungs or his airway. And that comes and goes. Then I have no idea how to check if his chest is having a hard time breathing. I have no idea what he looks like when he's breathing normal. He's happy, he's sleeping fairly well, he's eating, peeing, pooping. But on occasion he's weezy, but only for a while.

What to do? Someone who can spot it come over and check. I think if we had insurance we'd take him to the ER just to check. But we don't and I'm working on that, but until then . . .
